Relay For Life is a fun and moving experience, raising vital funds for Cancer Council WA’s research, prevention and support services.

Relay is a chance for the community to recognise and celebrate local cancer survivors, those going through a cancer experience and their carers, whilst honouring and remembering loved ones lost.

Join us on 15-16 October at Relay For Life West Coast, held at HBF Arena, Joondalup.

Make our Relay For Life Blueberry Oat Balls

Makes: 16 balls
Prep time:
10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 tbs almond butter (or other nut butter)
  • 2 tbs desiccated coconut
  • 1 tbs jam (or 2 tsp honey)

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to a food processor.
  2. Blitz till combined.
  3. Scoop a tablespoon of mixture and roll to make into balls.
  4. Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.

Tip: If they’re too slippery or crumbly to roll, wait 10 minutes. The dry ingredients absorb the moisture over time and the mixture will firm up.

Note: the mixture is most vibrant and purple immediately after blending. Choosing a purple jam will boost the colour. Adding a squeeze of lemon can also help keep the colour bright.
