What is Regular Giving?

Regular Giving provides reliable and sustainable funding to ensure we continue unlocking the answers to a cancer free future, so no one faces cancer alone.

By donating regularly, we will debit your nominated credit card or bank account with the amount you generously allocate. You can increase, decrease, or cancel your donation at any time by contacting us or your bank.

No matter how big or small your donation, donating regularly is the easiest way to support us in making breakthroughs in tackling cancer.

How Regular Giving is making breakthroughs

For your peace of mind and security, the Australian Government offers some helpful precautions you can take to ensure your Regular Giving is safe and legitimate:

  • If you receive a call purporting to be from a charity, inform them that you will call back. Verify the legitimacy of the call by checking the Charity Register as listed on the Australian Charities and Not-For-Profit Commission website. We then suggest calling back using the listed number.
  • Avoid clicking on links in unsolicited emails and social media posts that may lead to counterfeit or scam websites. Instead, locate the charity’s official website through a search engine (e.g. Google) or on the Charity Register.
  • Exercise caution when sharing credit card and bank account details online or through social media.
  • Look for well‑established, registered charities conducting verified fundraising campaigns.

Cancer Council WA’s information and support services are community-funded, relying on the generosity from West Australians, like you.

Some funding from the Department of Health is received for our prevention and research programs. A breakdown of this support can be found in our most recent Financial Statements under “external program funding”.
