Cancer Council WA have joined forces with Bunnings in a bid to raise much needed funds for cancer research through this year’s Daffodil Day Appeal.

Our Partnerships Coordinator, Hannah Taylor, said buying a bunch of daffodils from a Bunnings store in the metropolitan area on Friday 19 August was a great way to get involved to help raise funds for live-saving cancer research.

“Cancer Council are hoping to raise $2million for cancer research through the 2022 Daffodil Day Appeal,” Ms Taylor said.

“While the iconic street appeal will not go ahead this year due to Covid still being a risk in the community, there are still many ways to get involved to help raise funds for live-saving cancer research, including heading to your local Bunnings store and purchase a bunch of daffodils.

“With fundraising under pressure, it is more important than ever to ensure we support the work of our cancer researchers, so we are grateful to have Bunnings on board.

“By supporting the Daffodil Day Appeal, you will help us invest in cutting-edge, life-saving research to give Australians hope for a cancer free future.”

Daffodils can be purchased at various Bunnings stores throughout the metropolitan area Friday 19 August.
