On Wednesday 9 August, we held our second Clive Deverall Society lunch for 2023, at the Parmelia Hilton Hotel, Perth.

This society is comprised of a wonderful group of individuals who have notified the Philanthropy Team that they have included a gift in their Will to Cancer Council WA.  These lunches give us an opportunity to recognise and celebrate this wonderful foresight.

We welcomed over 100 guests to the lunch, a combination of supporters who have already confirmed they have planned to leave us a gift in their Will, and supporters who have told us about their interest in doing so. This lunch saw 20 members of staff acting as table hosts, with Cancer Council WA CEO Ashley Reid speaking on topical subjects of the moment and imparting some updates to the audience.

Our guest speaker this time was IT and Cyber Security Specialist Matt Rowston, who left everyone enthralled, curious and positively challenged by his learnings and experiences over the years.  Everyone left the event buzzing, wanting to know more about how to stay safe online, keep ourselves and our loved ones protected whilst being able to enjoy the technologies that are available to us these days.
