We are excited to announce that Cancer Council and WorkSafe have collaborated to launch a work health and safety UV training module, as part of the SmartMove training program, which will be targeted towards young people and those new to the workforce. Scheduled to be launched on 24th April, which coincides with the beginning of term 2 of the school year, the program aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the risks associated with UV exposure in the workplace. The module will equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to identify and prevent these risks, enabling them to prioritise their health and safety on the job.

Cancer Council and WorkSafe are dedicated to creating a safer and healthier work environment for all workers. The training will cover a range of topics, including UV radiation, skin cancer, protective measures, as well as clarifying the responsibilities of both workers and employers. It will be delivered through a range of interactive and engaging methods to ensure that participants are fully equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.

Collaborating with WorkSafe will enable us to extend our outreach and engage with a wider audience. The increased exposure resulting from this partnership will provide an ideal opportunity to create awareness and generate interest in building a safer and healthier future for all workers.
