To include a gift in your Will to us, you will need to include our legal name Cancer Council Western Australia (Inc) and also the addition of a clause outlining the details of your gift.

Below are some suggested clauses you can use. The amount you give to a charity depends on your individual circumstance; any gift, large or small, will make a real difference. The following suggested clauses are for guidance only and may be changed to suit your individual needs.

    “I give to Cancer Council Western Australia (Inc) the sum of $ to be used for its general purposes and the receipt of the Executive Director of that Council will be sufficient discharge to my Executor/Trustee.”
  2. Specified
    “I give to Cancer Council Western Australia (Inc) the sum of $ to be used for the purposes of (name specific purpose, for example research, patient and supportive care services, cancer prevention programs) and the receipt of the Executive Director of that Council will be sufficient discharge to my Executor/Trustee.”
  3. Residuary gift in Will
    “I give to Cancer Council Western Australia (Inc) for its general purposes (or name specific purpose) all (or stated fraction) of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate whether real or personal and the receipt of the Executive Director of that Council will be sufficient discharge to my Executor/Trustee.”
  4. Gift to Trust to Life Beneficiary with remainder (or part there of) to Cancer Council Western Australia (Inc)
    You may be interested in providing for family members during their lifetime and, at the same time, keeping the estate intact for other general purposes thereafter.“I give (insert amount or details) to my Executor upon trust to pay the income there from to (name of beneficiary) during his lifetime and upon death of the said (name of beneficiary) to pay the capital to Cancer Council Western Australia (Inc) for its authorised purposes.”
