The Clive Deverall Society is named in honour of our former CEO, Clive Deverall, who guided our organisation towards its goal of reducing the incidence and impact of cancer in our community for almost 25 years. The society enables us to acknowledge, during their lifetime, our partners for the future- those who generously support Cancer Council’s work through a gift in their Will.
Clive Deverall
Clive Deverall was our Executive Director from 1977-1999 and is often referred to as a cancer visionary. He was a grass roots hero in the cancer world who had dedicated his life to making things better for people diagnosed with cancer. As a reflection of Clive’s commitment to the prevention and treatment of cancer, he agreed to lend his name to the Clive Deverall Society.
