Go Dry in July and raise funds for Cancer Council WA

You’ll be helping Cancer Council continue to provide our vital 13 11 20 Cancer Information and Support service for all West Australians affected by cancer.

About our 13 11 20 Cancer Information and Support Line.

13 11 20 is a free and confidential phone line run by Cancer Council’s experienced health professionals, offering support and information about cancer.

Those seeking cancer advice can speak to a health professional about anything to do with cancer including: emotional support, how to reduce your risk, questions about early detection, dealing with a cancer diagnosis, how to cope with treatment and its side effects, practical support that is available to anyone affected by cancer, and ask questions about end of life.

Our 13 11 20 line supported over 37,000 people affected by cancer last year. Please help us in continuing to provide this much-needed service for the Australian community by fundraising for us this Dry July.

Taking a break from alcohol is one of the best things you can do for your health (and your wallet!).

It is estimated around four per cent of all cancers diagnosed in Australia each year are due to alcohol use. Cutting out alcohol not only reduces your risk of cancer and other alcohol-caused disease, but you can also expect some other great health benefits.

Setting yourself a challenge and experiencing a sense of achievement when accomplishing your goals is a wonderful and uplifting feeling.

Not only will it help your health and wellbeing, but by going dry this July and fundraising on behalf of Cancer Council WA you’ll help us continue to provide our vital 13 11 20 Information and Support service for all West Australians affected by cancer.
